The Hodag is a creature of American folklore, popularized in and around Rhinelander, Wisconsin, where it is said to have been first discovered. The hodag was said to be the incarnation of the cruelty faced by oxen at the hands of their handlers, and was born from their cremated ashes.
 
These Hodag earrings are created from laser cut natural veg-tanned leather and are hung from stainless steel earring wires.
 
Each design is carefully hand-drawn on a tablet, then converted into a cut file and imported into laser cutting software. We then laser cut the items in our studio and hand finish and assemble every piece.
